Hello: I have a Acer chromebook, my problem is when I insert a memory card my chromebook does not back up the images I'm wondering if there is a setting I need to change or is there another problem.

Thanks for any help.

What does "does no back the images" mean?

In order to back up to the Google cloud you must check the box to sync photos in settings.

Normally when I insert my sd card a pox opens in the upper right corner that states how many photos were found and I can click on back up, now the box does not appear, and there is no item in my settings to sync photos, I am wondering if something has happened to my chromebook.

You could try to use an external card reader to download them to your computer. That will allow you to download the photos. I never use the cloud so I don't know how to get them from your PC to the cloud.

Did you format the card with a different scheme? Perhaps the Chromebook only recognizes a limited subset of the SD standards. Newer cards may have more pins than the reader in the Chromebook, or may use ExFAT as the format scheme, instead of FAT32.

This might be the case if you got a newer camera that requires UHS II cards or UHS I cards with more than 32GB capacity. My old iMac won't recognize either of those types, which were introduced after the computer was built.

My sd card has worked recently until last week, however here is another problem , I cannot access the google cloud drive to upload to other web sites including this one the UHH. When I insert my sd card, my chrome book will recognize the card and display the photos, but my chrome book will not back up the photos to the cloud drive.
