Getting the opportunity to photograph the wild horses on Assateague Island inspires me. I've been visiting the island regularly since 2018 (annually since the '80's). These images are of the only blue eyed wild horse on the island, Stallion Dewey. Dewey never visits the developed area so this is the first time I've ever seen him. He has mare Johnny's Star and her 2021 filly, Starlight, with him. We were hiking to Valentine's (my first attempt) and they blocked the road and basically told us to "GET LOST"

WOW! Beautiful animals. I would definitely get lost after seeing those flared nostrils and bared rotten teeth!

They are amazing and yes we did turn around. This was taken with my Sigma 150-600 at 600 and cropped. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they turned out. I was a bit nervous, even at that distance he was quite intimidating. Thanks for commenting!

Thank you joecichjr kind comments. The sculpture is more of a "point and shoot", however the red chapel is special to me. My grand parents lived about 100 yards behind the chapel, and I've been around the chapel all my life (77 years). It has been a favorite photo subject whenever I get down that way. However, the photo needed a little clean-up to be presentable. I had to remove 2 street signs, a trash can, a snow shovel one the front entry, some overhead wires, one car, replaced 1 window, and removed about 50 Christmas lights. I like it now!!!
Thank you.

Go for something new or delve into your Archives and tell us about it!

Another from my Gator series taken at Hilton Head in 1976 on B&W film. More fun with Neural Filters.

Check out the evil red eye...

The color scheme comes from a mid-day slide of the EPCOT Space Ship Earth!
