Windows 10 is an excellent operating system, and will continue to be supported for a while. I see no reason to change to a new system which appears to have little if anything consequential new!

I'm in no rush, and from what I've seen on YouTube, there's no huge advantage to getting Win11.

I still have Windows 7 on our laptops but REALLY hate the idea of going to 10 or 11...I will need a new computer to do so. I OWN my own hard copies of Windows & Office Suite & like to use them from time to time...I don't want to pay rent every month or year for what should come with every computer IMO. I already lost my ability to RIP & burn copies of discs I OWN! I have my Snipping Tool still functioning & use it often...there are other things I'm forgetting but do not like being gouged by greed. Oh yeah...since some update or something I lost all Spellchecking!! I NEED that!

I have been on Windows 11 for a few months. I did it for the support of the new Intel Adler Lake CPUs. At first the display calibration was bad but as far as I can tell it works correctly now. I am not happy with all the work I had to do to isolate problems but I am in a good place now. If you need new hardware I would not be afraid to go there.

They always improve software until it's useless!

I made the mistake of moving from 10 to 11 and really wish I had not. My major problem is when looking for a photo I was able to glance at the folders, see an image in the group I needed, and open the folder. Now 11 does not support having an image in the group on the folder making it much harder to find an image. I had to go into each and modify the name of the file. Took a lot of time and still not finished. Not a happy camper.

I too have had problems with W 11 trying to do auto updates as well as backward changes to Photo software. It seems to be a giant step back or, at best sideways if security upgrade is taken into account.

I forced my not compatible computer to update and I have not really had any issues with it all my apps are still working just fine and the system has not crashed yet.

My son is an IT Professional and he told me absolutely not to switch to windows 11 for at least a year or two.
He said to wait till MS gets all the bugs out first.

I ran the PC Health Check last year on all three of my Windows 10 PCs, and found they are all "ready" for Windows 11, but there is no way that I'm about to jump into that mess right now. I'm waiting for a few years.
