Great start Judy!
Sorry I've been MIA - daughter in hospital (27wks pregnant) with bp issues so it's been a very crazy week and a half! All seems to be under control with one more test tomorrow! Fingers crossed!!
The place that inspires me is Assateague Island - the wild horses and other wild life along with the beautiful landscape really is inspiring. We've recently purchased an OSV pass that allows us to drive on the beach. It's a 12 mile stretch to the VA state line and along the way there are off roads that take you to the bay side of the island as well and walking trails with abandoned homes and hunting lodges, even a grave. I haven't made it to all the trails yet, but I'm working on it.

Cute remarks! I should take walk to the park down the street and see if any are hanging out there in the lake! I'll let you know what I see, FA!
So much for the PLAN, FA!

Good luck to your daughter and the little one Gigi. Your images from Assateague always spark my admiration.
Thank you so much Kaskazi for the good wishes. I'm glad you enjoy my Assateague images!
Just about anything inspires me. Much of my inspiration comes from posts from fellow hoggers - inspired to see things differently, and capture them in different ways. Some of your ideas are so creative! I am challenged to try different things:
Still working on the challenge of capturing the perfect frozen bubbles
Still working on the challenge of capturing crisp clear snowflakes - I'm not there yet!
The challenge of trying to tame flash

Taming flash can be challenging. I like creating light tents for small items. A white shower curtain (or Rosco Soft Frost material, sold by theatrical lighting houses and cinematography supply houses) stretched over some PVC pipe with binder clips works well.
The trick is to get the diffuse highlight so big it wraps around the entire subject. Adding back a bit of specular highlight with a small direct source can add sparkle.
Ring lights sometimes help for very small objects placed close to the lens. Bounce cards help, too. I use simple foam core boards as reflectors, along with one 42" circular reflector that has silver, gold, black, white, and diffusion surfaces in one foldable hoop-like package. One light can do a lot with a tent and some reflectors.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope everything turns fine for her.
Wildlife and scenery is also an inspiration for me too. I'll try to find some good pics that I've done and share.
