I never said that the US controls oil prices, but it certainly does influence them. When a major oil producer cuts production and starts to import oil it previously didn't need to, it affects the amount of oil available in the worldwide market. That raises prices. It's simple economics and, if you can't understand that, it explains why you voted for Slow Joe in the first place. I can understand someone being hornswoggled into voting for Brandon (actually, I can't, but I guess it happened) but it takes some kind of stubborn blindness to be able to stand there with (I presume) a straight face and still defend him now with the facts in.

Hornswoggled indeed. Lots of hornswoggled Left Wingers out there. There is another name but Admin won't let me use it here.

Biden had jack sh*t, thanks to Trump. Excess vaccine held by the Feds? Trump left NO VACCINE behind. Trump BS. A very effective (on paper) delivery system from DC to the hinterlands presented by a General? Trump BS. An effective system for vaccination? More Trump BS. Denny baby, you should really do your homework before you sound more Trumpist than you already do. Trump left nothing to Biden, except he started the development of the vaccine, but provided no funding. Omicron spread very fast, perhaps because many Republicants (Republican states) refused to get vaccinated, but it was not life threatening, IF you were vaccinated. How many Republican states canceled/didn't mandate COVID protection? Republicans said, "Let's open everything up". You also might review the Biden/Trump death figures again. https://www.newsweek.com/fact-check-have-more-americans-died-covid-under-joe-biden-donald-trump-1661528 About ALL you are good for is name calling me a lying corrupt Left Winger. The overall dumbest point of this post is your comment saying it was mostly Republicans who did not get vaccinated. What a crock of horseshit that is. Show me some real proof such as vaccination records listed by Political Party. Show me hospital records where the Covid patients are listed by Political Party. I will be right here for that one. I think we can agree that blacks are a large group who decided not to be vaccinated, as a group. Can we agree on that. I have not looked it up and may be mistaken but I have heard that. If that is true and IF blacks vote predominantly for Democrats then that would make a huge number of Democrats not vaccinated, would it not?

As for Trump leaving nothing for Biden that is your word. Let's see the actual proof. No no not some Left Winger proof but something from a neutral source.

All I am good for is calling you a lying corrupt Left Winger, you say. I take that as a HUGE compliment and appreciate you got my point. Of course it was not meant specifically for you or really for you at all but those on the Left who continually lie about President Trump and most likely will forever. You must be taking your TDS pills on ar regular basis. Good for you. Trump must have been damn good as POTUS to have scared the crap out of all you on the Left. Must be those accomplishments. Don't you wish you could HONESTLY say the same thing about Biden. How sad nobody in all of Biden's political career would/will ever say he did a great job. If they do that means they are one of the real life lying corrupt Left Wingers.

Energy is complicated and until you learn or at least agree to accept that Biden and his administration's restrictive energy policies DO have an influence on the high oil/gasoline prices we are experiencing, it will continue to be a problem.

You need some basic, 101 economics education. But you couldn't pay me enough to try to teach you since you apparently have no capacity to learn. But commodities go up and down all the time and the selling prices reflect that, based on supply and demand. I understand that supply and demand is a pesky concept, but you need to learn about it.

LoL

Who needs an educcation?

Were you not just saying that when one sells a stock...the company buys it back...which restricts the company's operating capital.

Very wrong.

But funny given that you are now lecturing another poster about economic fundamentals.

Which major US producer has cut production?

And what does anything I have said about energy production have to do with supporting or voting for Brandon?

I do not think I am the party in our conversation which has trouble understanding things.

And you make baseless assumptions about who I voted for...which further demonstrates your lack of basic reality comprehension.

When Biden took office (1/21) the Pandemic was slowing down, even for Republicants. Travel restrictions were easing and people wanted to travel. During the make believe (Republicant description) Pandemic, no one was able to travel resulting in little demand for energy products. Therefore pent up demand combined with little supply caused what? A shortage. Wow. Supply and demand in action. If you want to erroneously blame Biden for high energy prices, feel free. BUT YOU ARE WRONG. Energy producers didn't produce energy, because there was little demand. Now there is demand and there is a significant lag time in production. Also oil companies are GREEDY and will and do charge whatever the market will bear.

For the sake of discussion let's assume you are correct and agree that there was little demand during the pandemic. Now demand is going up and production needs time to ramp up. I won't argue the mechanics of supply/demand. As to your point about pricing at what the market will bear, some research on your part will explain the complicated factors that go into energy pricing. I'll leave you to do that, or not. I will say, most analysts say the oil and gas companies are not price-gouging. I don't know if they are or not but I'll tend to agree with the analysts. They know more than I do. If you want to believe they are gouging, then have at it.

With regard to price gouging by the oil co's think of this. The federal government makes more money on each gallon =through federal tax- than does the oil company. And they don't even have to produce or ship it. So just who is gouging?
