Backyard owl - super model

This barred owl sat in a tree in my backyard from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. (when it flew to my neighbor's yard), alternating between sleep and wake states. It let me get within approx. 50 feet and take pictures. The lighting wasn't the best, but it rarely is in nature photography.

I say very nice captures of this sleepy guy. After all he was up all night hunting.
