I noticed that. But, as a troll, he/she/it doesn't really care, as long as they are flaming someone and getting responses, they are happy?
This person seems to be obsessed with getting revenge for some heinous act that was committed against them. It's as if their masculinity, or whatever, is threatened because maybe a small handful of strangers they will probably never meet, read it in the garage bin section of some social media web site. An outright attack on their virtual existence, and it will not go unavenged. But in the end, he/she/it is just another angry whackadoodle who needs our sympathy. I personally send my deepest apologies for having committed this unspeakable act of whatever I'm accused of doing, something to do with an "s", and hope we may all just get along like civilized people.

I must assume that American English might not be the primary language of all UHH members. Some members might be more educated than others. Some may be poor typists, like me. Goodwill and the sharing of questions, thoughts, ideas and knowledge are the things that bind us together as a group.

We must make allowances for spelling and grammer given those facts. The most important essentials of communication is that we try to understand the thoughts of others and enter into the discussions in a thoughtful and friendly way.

If people want to express hate, contempt or anger perhaps they should start another group.

Once again you are stirring the pot calling me names for no reason. You butted into something that didn't concern you until your posts against me. BTW this is only social media I'm in so you made another wrong assumption.
I have a great life, enough money in my retirement, great house in a nice town 3 miles from the beach, so you're wrong again. I am only responding to the few trolls on here that start or join in crap for no reason.i believe some of the post directed at me, have been removed by admin so tough to follow orginal other trolls comments.
Now leave me alone

For starters, just exactly where did I say I did the repairs myself. Well, the Sigma I did; just had to b7eebadcd4394d49c01d408b9c4bdeec2a9dd86c.1replace the missing screw. The two lenses I referred to are a Canon EF 28-70 f/2.8L that I had repaired at Authorized Camera Repair in Willow Grove PA, and a Sigma 150-600 Sport. The main reason the Sigma screw was more expensive than the Canon screw is mainly because of its physical size, and what the screw is used for. The Canon screw was replaced as part of a major repair. The repair shop gave me a list of all the parts they replaced and the cost of the parts. I had to replace the Sigma screw because I lost the original.
As for being a troll, it sure looks like you are the one who has trolled me. You'd love proof?! KMASH!

I don't think either screws cost a lot to influence the bills. In my work before retiring we used a lot of small titanium screws and with the cost of what I was doing the cost of the little screw was nothing. It was knowing what to do with the entire procedure and the training to do that procedure was the cost

You can report all you want. I simply posted 5 letters. If you assigned a rude meaning to those 5 letters, then that's your doing, not mine. By themselves, the letters are meaningless. Again, I never said I repaired the lens, and I did say it was repaired in a shop. I even named the repair shop if you want to contact them. Also, please stop trolling me or I will report you, and maybe you will be the first member that I block.

So you always post 5 letters in caps for all your post and they just happen to have an urban dictionary bad meaning.
I THINK NOT

Ok, calm down. Don't have a heart attack and waste the lovely home you have near the NJ coast. I'm so happy for you that you have such a great life. Are you implying your life is better than mine!? Considering you know absolutely nothing about me or my life. Am I supposed to be jealous that you live 3 miles from the ocean? I'll let you in on a little secret; I pretty much do not like the New Jersey shore at all. Sand gets everywhere; gulls pooping everywhere; the almost constant scent of dead fish. No thanks, not my idea of the ideal place to live. But to each their own. As far as leaving folks alone, maybe you should consider practicing what you preach. I don't recall the "S" incident and it may not have even been me. The table or PC I use to access UHH is used by others in my household. It's pretty much always logged in as me, but it may not always be me. I apologized for the "S" incident, but apparently that's not good enough for you. Leave you alone!? Your the one who jumped into the conversation accusing me of lying. I even posted info that could prove what I said but you chose to ignore that. You must be a real hoot at parties, assuming you actually get invited.

See your post has multiple sparky comments. You're the one that said I was miserable. Not going to have your heart attack, I keep up on my stress test and other health screenings, more snarky comments from you about things you know nothing about. I just replied I had a good life at the NJ shore. I know nothing about you and said nothing about your house you made that up. Again with sparky comment about me being a hoot at parties if I get invited. See you can't help yourself with insults about what you know nothing about
That smell is not dead fish its called the ocean.

if Nikon was descent , a screw that fall out inside lens would have been judged a manufacturing defect and fix for free .there is a way to secure screws so they dont loosen .[ loctite ]

There are different lickite for different applications that require future disassemble possibilities. I had a boat for 25 yrs and lictite was my friend

That's about what I paid to repair mine, same type of issue - yeah it hurts - now my d750 won't power up after taking a bit of a knock - no local shops (central Florida) repair Nikon anymore as they can't get parts and recommend shipping to Nikon.
I may decide to upgrade instead - considering d850 but not sure... discontinued and no release slated or mentioned for ages on the successor (d860- or d880) depending on the article read....

From what I've read, the powers that be at Nikon have shifted all their DSLR/MILC R&D and manufacturing capacity to the Z series cameras and the rumored D860/D880/D900 (D850 replacement) is all but dead. I've had a D850 for going on 4 years now and I really like it but, it may very well be the last Nikon I buy. I've looked at the Z9 and it's a great camera, but, that's a lot of money and I believe I'll continue saving my money for a new Canon with quad pixel AF.

We all have had a similar experience I'm sure. My problem is that I really don't see Nikon as customer friendly and am always suspicious of the financial motivations. (competing against their own dealers, shutting down parts to smaller repair shops, denying a repair based on: "the camera was dropped" even though hundreds of d600 had the same problem, and not communicating repair costs) I've just quit using them. I've said in the past and repeat here again, use "Photo Tech" just down the street from B&H. Ph 212-673-8400, address: 360 W 36 St, NY,NY 10018. Give them a call, they'll advise you to send it in, they'll give you an estimate of cost and a rapid turn-around. They will also repair "grey" equipment.
