I came across this power cord the other day. What do you think it's supposed to power?
An Apple computer. It hooks into the power brick for an Apple MacBook.

For my 2012 MBP, I have the white "brick" and the magnetic connector for the computer. My MacBook Air has a similar arrangement for charging.
This is a very specific plug, but I can't imagine what it's for.

What is on the other end of the cord in your picture?

Okay! Got it! That's an extension cord to use with that "brick." Thanks to both of you.

Yep! Got it - MacBook Pro extension cord for power transformer.
This is a US plug adapter for the power supply. Different countries would have a different prong arrangement. The company doesnt have to make a complete unit for each country type, only the adapters to fit a common unit.
In addition to the Mac uses. I have several plugs that look like this for (I think) Canon printers.
You could also use it on your razor.
