My first digital camera was a Sony. And I loved it. It was a Cybershot 5.0 and cost something around $2,500. I bought it on the way to the Dallas airport for a shoot in Southern California. Read the book and messed with the camera on the three-hour flight. I was sitting at the horse races fooling with the new camera that night at Los Alamitos when my friend Spencer Childers walked up and said, "So how do you like that new Sony." Two days earlier someone had given Spence the same Sony for his 97th birthday and he knew all about it. What fun we had shooting our Sonys for the next couple of days. Cameras and photography have been so important in my friendships over the years. Love this website and what it shows me. Thanks to everyone that participates and gives me a positive start to each day.

Great story Trackmag and I’ve had five Sonys since I took up photography as a hobby and the last one is a Sony mirrorless, which I really enjoy using and I still use the first Sony I bought as well and it still works pretty well also considering it’s 12 years old and as you say they are a very important part of my life as well..Just hope this rain stops over here though we are off up to the Lake District in Cumbria next week and I’m hoping fort some nice pics up there.
