If you do what I did, you can probably find an image of yours somewhere on line to copy and post.
My first camera was a 1930s Agfa Billy clack folder that my father brought back from Germany in 1945. I began using it at the age of 6 or 7 around 1949. After that came a couple of bakelite cameras, followed in this sequence: several Minolta SLRs, a couple Miranda SLRs, several Yashica TLRs, a dozen or more Nikon SLRs, and finally several Nikon DSLRs.

My first camera was a Yashica Lynx 14E, rangefinder with a 50mm F1.4 lens.
I purchased it in 1968 while on travel as an "advisor" for the U. S. Army.

I still have my first camera, an Ansco box camera.

Thanks for sharing. Amazing that you still have it. Mine disappeared along with my comic books, baseball cards, and stamp collection.
Fun thread. The first (this one is a sistership) I actually bought for myself:
My first camera I bought about 50 years ago. It had just 2 aperture settings.

Thanks. Yours reminds me of my first 35mm, a Yashica J-P. I couldn't afford a Nikon at the time. When I finally got to the Nikon brands, I started out with a "Nikkormat EL".
The first camera I really used was Polaroid Swinger. I was about 12 years old and sold action golf shots for $1 on a public 9 hole golf course. I found I could make more money in an hour than delivering newspapers all week.
My first was a Hopalong Cassidy box camera, about age 8 or 9. I still have it, and it still works.
Nice!! Here’s my first camera I was 15 yrs old 1979 it wasn’t much but I was on top on the world when my dad placed it in my hands❤️
My father brought it back from WWII. It shot 35mm half frame which in the 50s no one locally would mount slides. So I ended up with it. I found a place that could order the 1/2 frame slide mounts and mounted them myself. Of course, being a kid, after I got my Instamatic , I took it apart.
