I don't need a password on my MacBook Pro, but I need one on my iMac. I found nothing to unclick to avoid the password. How can I delete the need for it?
According to MacPaw (Ukrainian software house)
Click on the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.
Select Users & Groups.
Click on the padlock and type in your account password.
Choose Login Options at the bottom of the sidebar.
Click on the drop down menu next to “Automatic login” and choose your user account.
Type in your password and press Ok.
Quit System Preferences.
YMMV, depending on which version of MacOS is installed.
