Oh yes. About 30min ago. Ugh
Agreed! More than once a day I pick up my iPhone just so I can see the opening screen that tells me way the day and date it is. Many things my wife and I do, ranging from anticipated TV shows to whose day it is to cook (we take turns), are day-dependent. More than once I've had to reach into the freezer late in the day for dinner because I didn't realize it was "my day."
My pill tray tells me what day it is!

And I always thought that "Locked and loaded" was a weapons term. Now I know it refers to the weekly pill box! But Jerry - if you run out of pills while filing the pill box you usually have already filled a few slots, so you have time to call to get a refill, and to call the doc if you need a new prescription authorized. Amazing how many folks who take their medicine from the pill bottle daily wait until they have zero pills left to call the doctor's office. One of my colleagues always had a sign in her waiting room that said: "Your failure to plan ahead does not constitute an emergency on my part".
Been there done that a few times.
I have a couple of Rx's and add in a few supplements.
For years I saved plastic 35mm film cannisters and have labeled the for day of week and morning and evenings. Every two weeks, I refill the cannisters and the system works great. We do the same with pills and supplements for my wife in another set of containers.

I go to an exercise class twice a week. Senior Circuits x1 & Senior Bootcamp x1. I just refer to both as the Geriatric Gym. I think I've got to the stage where the warm up burns more calories than the exercises.
Pills are further down the line - at the moment I'm on one per day (Levothyroxin).
I do take vitamins. My feeling is the day I start taking pharmaceuticals is the day I'm beginning to die.
I have it all figured out. I have a Casio watch with a ten-year battery that has dates and days of the week and CVS to automatically refill prescriptions. I do find I check my watch a lot more often after I retired.

I keep searching for the optimal method of getting the pills in the box😳
My wife does it for me. But I always check before I take them. In case she gets any ideas.

I use an assembly line method, which is good as long as the pills cooperate! (Some don't want to leave their friends, others want to see the world! 😉)

My pills must be related to yours, they do the same.
To save time, I use two weekly pill boxes. I fill them both so I only have to perform that chore every two weeks instead of once a week. I also check each bottle as I fill the weekly box to see if I have enough for two more weeks. If I don't, I call the pharmacy for a refill or my doctor for a new prescription. Also get my prescriptions filled for 90 days at a time. It costs the same as 3 times monthly but again, cuts down on ordering from the pharmacy or doctor. Also add vitamins and other daily non-prescriptions meds like adult aspirin or CoQ10 to the weekly boxes as well just to cut down on daily rituals.

I prepare my husband’s pill boxes. I bought 12 weekly boxes with a.m. and p.m. spots band follow an assembly line process after picking up his three month supply.
As for knowing the day - he goes to the driveway in the morning to pick up the paper. If he doesn’t go out I know it’s Monday or Saturday as we have no paper those days. The rest of the days I consult my phone.
