at first i was drawn in by those eyes, then became interested in the cropping which i didn't like at first, then decided it was really great, because it drew my eyes to the far corners of the image. The image is crystal, tack sharp and shows a confident, mature woman, hair and all. kudos to both the photographer and hos model!

Artistically, I know it is not the best crop. In this instance, cropping is more a necessary rendition. Thanks for the expressed observations.

Her expression is intriguing to me. Kind of, "it's party time, I have plans for you and you just wait". I enjoy seeing a woman who is comfortable with herself. She isn't supermodel thin but she is sexy. The pose teases the eye, somewhat revealing without baring the lady's charms. Technically a very good photo. Excellent exposure and focus. You should do more work with her.

Overall, this is a great photo. I think it could be even better with some additional post-processing. If you have individual color saturation sliders, I would pull down a bit of red and yellow and then I would soften the image with whatever tools you have available. Portraits don't have to be this sharp. You could mask out the face and then reduce the clarity or texture of the rest of the image just a bit, maybe 15 percent or so. If you message me a downloadable version, I would love to take a crack at it.

I think that the expression on her face and in her eyes really tells a story. The only change I would have made, either with the camera or when cropping, would be to arrange her more diagonally in the frame. But, I understand how it is when you have only one opportunity to make an image, you work with what is available at the moment. I'd say that you really did capture her personality at the moment though, really nice work.
