Hi Voss, wouldn't the color version work better in this one?

Well, you can't tell this from the B&W, but there is a problem. In its favor, color does help to differentiate the small individuals down the road. But all that color in the lower left really grabs your eye. It could be cropped out, but it would lose a lot of the "crowd" effect.

Your title says it all!

It's a step closer to "normal."

Great shot...I assume they are all vaccinated...all but the two on the left...

Yes, and I thought I had spotted a third on the right side, but I can't find it now. Those two made me change my original title.

Since the comments have turned into bashing the non-maskers rather than commenting on the posted photo where it should be, you all might check out the report the other day from Johns Hopkins regarding the effect of wearing masks.

Mardi Gras this year is on March 1st. in New Orleans. Parades are in full swing around the area. Everyone should experience a New Orleans Mardi Gras once.
Your crowd shot reminds me of Mardi Gras in the Big Easy Voss.

I'm sure it's not the same in Galveston, but they still at least get a good crowd out.

O, yes, now it feels like Mardi Gras!

I like the colored version much better: it shouts loud and clear that the festivity is going on, and it still makes very obvious that "Hardly a mask in sight!"

Point taken. It does help to set the mood.
