Cannonball(Julian) Adderly discovered Nancy Wilson and introduced her to NY at Birdland. Coincidently, on that evening, I happened to be at Birdland to enjoy the Canonball Adderly Quintet. Lucky me!!! Subsequently he cut a record with Nancy. I still have the vinyl. Canon's brother Nat, is on cornet.

I have the CD. Two of her favorites of mine were "Broadway My Way" and "Hollywood My Way" I also have replaced the vinyl with CD's for those as well. I got to see her live in the 90's in DC. She still had it. My wife even enjoyed it and she's not a big jazz fan.

Thanks for the reply. One of my favorites too!! Mark
When she sings Guess Who I Saw Today, everything stops til it's over. It's one of my top favorites by one of the best voices in the industry. The singers today can't even start to compare. Just pure class!
