Hi fellow members,
I am an amateur who discovered photography during the first COVID lockdown in 2020 which was shortly after I retired. During high school, I did some photography but then life happed and photography disappeared only to be re-discovered in 2020.
Ever since this, so-called hobby got completely out of hand, slowly my proficiency improved with the help of one million YouTube movies AND with the help of Nikon Middle East (they provided great trials, tutorials and one on one workshops).
All this slowly led to a preference for bird, landscape, and night cityscape photography.
I hope not only to learn from other members but also contribute to this forum.
Good morning "JD",
An absolutely sincere welcome to UHH and to the wonderful and satisfying world of creating images - whether on film or digitally - or possibly both. You will, quite likely, never regret your decision.
Please begin the process of uploading / posting to this site as soon as you can find the time. I, for one, look forward to viewing your images from the other side of our planet. I'm just about in the middle of Minnesota where it's currently -10 degrees with a wind chill factor of -30 (!) degrees. Simply viewing images of Dubai and its' surrounds will likely give me a warm feeling.
All the best to you and yours,
Terry
