Where's Perry Como when you need him?
The NFL will get mixed reviews on this. Rap fans loved it. But I think much of it was lost on the broader audience, both culturally, and because the audio was so muddy.
I found it interesting that my twins grew up with rap culture all around them at school. They like rap, and knew who all the performers were. Yet they were not very impressed. Like me, they found the lyrics impossible to understand, even with headphones and hi-fi speakers with surround sound.

Yes you summed it up perfectly! Whoever decided on the halftime show shoulda been flagged with a 100 yard penalty. I turned it off at halftime and back on with 13 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter so I didn’t suffer at all.

Why would anyone think you would like it. It was black, you are white. It was younger, you are not. It would never appeal to you.
I don't believe it meant dark as color of people. Messages in a lot of music is dark as in mood.

I totally agree. I focused on identifying the years of those Impalas and came away believing they were one each, 62, '63, and '64. All were beautiful vehicles.
Same here. I knew the '64 since I had one of those. Wasn't too sure of the other two, '62 or '63, but thought they might be one of each.
BTW, I had the '64 long before it became a "classic". When I had it it was just another used car.
I had a '55 Chevy but it was just a used car, also.
Don't watch pro football anymore. I'm sure the halftime show was a hoodlum convention. Pro sports going to political..........toward china.
Sometimes I don't hear too well, What are rat and hop-scotch music..?

Nobody mentioned the presenter "Pepsi" as having anything to do with the selection of "artists". The Super Bowl has a large audience of Americans and people around the world. I think they should find acts that represent a larger pool of watchers than they did. It would be much better if they had a "Pop" star, and a "Country" star and a "Rap" or "R&B" star all in the same presentation. But they did not! So I am going to register my complaint directly to Pepsi. The best way I can think of is to buy some stock and send in a complaint to the "stockholder relations" department. I do not want my tastes taken for granted, and they have been for too many years now!

So now RAP music is “hoodlum” and “Chinese”. Just admit that you are an old white guy and it was not aimed at you. Nice racist attitude though.
I don’t have that much time that I can waste it on that kind of crap. Glad some folks enjoyed it. Good game though.
