Possible Motherboard Problem at Newegg

I look at this guy's channel occasionally, and last night I watched a video that had me concerned. He says he has received hundreds of complaints from his watchers about Newegg scamming customers. They return a motherboard, but Newegg claims it was damaged, so they don't get a refund.

In this video, he said that the same thing happened to him. He says he didn't even open the packaging box, and Newegg claimed that the pins on the CPU socket were bent. Judge for yourself.

Newegg was purchased a while ago by a foreign company. Not sure, but probably Chinese. I have used Newegg for over 25 years, but now I am very careful and wary of them. Not because it may be Chinese, but because of some recent poor feedback.

That's not at all surprising. When one company buys another, their goal is to get as much money out of it as they can. That's too bad.

EDIT: I just checked, and I go back to 2014 with them.

I last ordered from them around 5 years ago. I ordered a larger SSD for an older Samsung laptop which had a non-standard pin configuration, and they were the only source that had it. I haven't ordered from them since then. Prior to that time, they seemed reliable. I'll keep this in mind.

Another YouTuber who used to work the RMA room at Newegg has a video on YouTube. he backs up most of what the other guy said, and he adds info of his own.

I have been using Newegg for decades for computer parts with never a problem! I turned 79 on 1/22/2022, so I am glad that I have built my last computer. I built my windows 10 machine about 2 years ago, and hardly ever turn it on. I spend most of my computer time on my windows 7 machine with my Flight Sim that has about any airplane you can think of. I've spent a lot of money on that machine.

I've accumulated quite a few computer components, and I recently bought a case. My plan is to combine all those parts into a working computer. The boxes are in the dining room, right next to my "workbench" dining room table.
