So very good to see your post, here, craggy ~ and you're still using your Fujifilm kit! Wonderful! I don't often visit this forum, anymore, as it seemed to become a Nicanon/Canikon site (maybe always was?). BTW; this last November I acquired a near-new X-Pro2 (even though I tend to avoid anything with "pro" on the label;^). It will join the X-E2 that was my "gateway drug), purchased in 2016 ~ it's still the most comfortable and fun EDC (every day carry) camera for me.
Hey, my friend - thanks for your kind words - 'fraid I have long now become disenchanted with the direction the "everyday chat" here has followed. Indeed, I had hardly begun to get involved back in 2012 when I was told to "butt out" by one fella that, I think, still runs one of the groups. So I simply chime in as and when in the hope that the OP might at least listen and take note - their decision what they do with my info, which is purely intended to help.
Yep - totally content with my "3 piece Fuji kit" - might just think about a camera change with the X-H2 come summer - but current kit satisfies for my needs, and that's what's important to me !

I just ordered an X-T4 and am looking for an inexpensive lens to get me started. I can buy a Fujifilm X-fujinar-W f2.8 28 DM from craigslist for $60. Will this lens fit this camera without any adaptors? If not, any recommendations for a starter lens?
I bought mine with the 16-80mm and have no regrets. It is a very capable lens. I also bought a Viltrox 23mm f1.4 for the X-T4 and I have found it a pretty good lens. Not the equal of the Fuji 23mm perhaps but it holds its own and for a whole lot less moola. Here is a review.

The Fuji Xc lenses are a great value. Excellent optics. Difference is that les barrels are plastic instead of metal.

More differences than that. No aperature ring.
Thank you Warped Weaver, lamiaceae, R.G., left, dugeeeeeee, Old Coot, Frederick, Miamark, craggycrossers, Urnst, leboecere, tropics 68 and al13 for your input. I appreciate the time that you took to inform me. Just to let you know, I purchased the X-T4 from MPB (body only). Being new to the Fuji family, I didn't know if the lens on Craig's list would work on the X-T4. That's all, I wasn't looking for a lens on the cheap. Had it worked, it would have been worth $60 until I researched a little more to find out what good lenses to use. Fortunately for me two members here offered me reasonable XF 18-55 f2.8-4 lenses. Thank you, Soul Dr. but I was offered and accepted the same lens from another member just before you offered me yours.

I don't know how long ago Thom Hogan wrote this, but I did paste it in my "Photography Quotes" file (and I try to remember it):
"Short version: if you’re not buying top lenses, you probably shouldn’t be buying high megapixel count cameras. And vice versa." _by Thom

The Fujinon XC 15-45 f3.5-5.6 OIS PZ can be had for about $300 in Australia so probably about half that in the US. It's specifically designed for
X-Trans Fujifilm bodies, has effective image stabilization, virtually no distortion, or lens flare
and is a sharp as a scalpel.
I love it and use it at least as much as my XF primes. Having said that, it needs to be babied as it's not "Water Resistant".
The Fujifilm XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS is a little faster but costs 2/3rds more than the 15-45 down here.
Shot with XC 15-45 zoom on an X-E3 body.
f6.4, 1/8th of a second, ISO 1000, focal length 31.4mm (actual)
and no noise reduction applied!

Cheers matey ! Camera was X-T2 on this occasion - it does it just fine for my purposes. The T3 and T4 I have let pass - no need - maybe this coming summer's offerings might motivate me to upgrade !!
Don't forget the 18-135 F4. My permanent on camera lens. Really really sharp.
