Markngolf has been presenting a lot of selections of music from the '50s. Most of them weren't my style, as I was kind of nerdy then and more interested in classical stuff. And I haven't grown up since then. But there were a few things from the '50s I enjoyed, one of them was the music of Tom Lehrer. Here is one that is interesting (if dated) and appropriate for the family (unlike other songs of Mr. Lehrer). Unfortunately one of his songs made some comments about Werner von Braun, who sued and terminated Tom's career of songwriting (or at least song performing).

I remember him too!! His compositions always had creative & clever lyrics. I love classical music too. I was not a "nerd", but I was always listening to and playing music.

I am unfamiliar with that one. I googled it but the best thing I came up with is a website (https://tomlehrersongs.com/) that presents Tom Lehrer's songs to the public domain. The website states that it will be deleted at the end of 2024 so do your downloading soon. The page contains a list of songs, not all of which I remember (by the title given, anyway) and I haven't checked them all out yet. Some of them are just lyrics (maybe with reference to a tune) but there are some MP3 files listed.
