I live in south Monmouth county and the eagle nests I photograph have been relocated by the eagles to a less visible area. I'm looking for easily seen and photograph nest in NJ. I'm willing to travel all over.

If you are willing to travel, check out the Conowingo Dam. It is located south of Harrisburg, PA just across the border into Maryland. Maybe not this time of year, but in Oct. and early Nov. they seem to stop there for a rest and feeding before heading elsewhere, south I would guess. There are over a hundred Eagles there and shots of them taking fish out of the river is easy if you spend a couple hours there and watch the activity. The dam has a special two layer walkway where photographers by the dozen set up tripods and watch for that perfect shot. A couple of times a day a siren sounds and the flood gates open. This rush of water washes fish down from the upper waters and creates a flurry of activity from the Eagles. The swarm the waters by the dozens. Google this dam and check out the pictures. It will whet your apatite for Eagle shots.

Thanks for the info. I went to dukes farm but not to photograph eagles. Is the nest located where it's easily photographed?

You could move to Southeast Alaska, they are all over the place. I have a nest in my backyard. Been there over 25 years. In the summer they wake up about three in the morning and shout us awake for about fifteen minutes. You won’t be able to drive here though. No roads into Juneau. Oh, well.

They are making a comeback in NJ and I live by the water so prime area for them but can't get near them due to laws and the go deep into trees

The nest in Duke Farms is not visible to the public except non their excellent web cam. They want it undistirbed! There IS one in the Great Swamp National wildlife refuge that you can see off Long Hill Road from a distance.

There is one in eastern PA that you can get kind of close to, but I don't remember where it is. In a state park I think! But even that you can't get right up to it. Eagles are laying eggs now and need privacy! They could be disturbed if the public had easy access!

The eagles build the nest, people don't. They pick a high point in a tree. The one by me was across street so with a 600mm lens you were able to get nice photos. They come back to same nest yearly, rebuild it and lay eggs. Sometimes they start from scratch and move deeper in woods
