Thanks Mark; Through tears, Lest we forget! My coffee group recently lost our 99 year old friend, some 2 weeks short of 100, who had flown a recon L-4 'over there'. He shared so many stories with our group of between 70 and 88 year olds, should have been the next generation, so we must pass along those of the "great generation" who were many of our parents. While my father very suddenly passed at 41 of a heart attack, he was of the greatest generation. He was 4F due to a Rheumatic heart condition. He was a hero in many other ways.
We all owe them our deepest gratitude. My breakfast group lost 3 of our members in the past two years. We've been meeting since 1996. Our ages are similar, 73 - 89. I'll be 85 in two weeks.
