I have been putting meat and meaty bones out for this red shoulder female hawk for about ten years. She is my no means tame but she comes when I call and during cold weather waits nearby in a tree for me.

The Unexpected. I have never seen these two things before or since the one time. The herd of sheep were up in the hills out of Cle Elum, WA. (Summer 2016)
The dog sled team was practicing up in the hills around Fish Lake, WA. (2004)

We have birds galore in our yard but these birds are not our regulars. After years of having the typical grey squirrels, the native Pine Squirrel showed up a couple of years ago. They really have an attitude. It's hard to chase them away from the bird feeder. The frog showed up in our pond out of nowhere. About three years later, it disappeared out of nowhere.
Almost forgot the Winter Thrush that we saw for the first time this year.
I'm sorry to be missing this challenge, Karin - we were without power for a while. No animals in our house, but we have some around the neighborhood. The last image was taken at a Fair and was rather funny, unless your dog was the one in competition who couldn't control them. Sheep Herding contest at the Fair and when the sheep were let out of the pen, they scattered everywhere. The poor dog and owner had no control and the sheep looked almost "happy" that they had confused everyone so completely. Sorry for the owner, but it was great entertainment.
The deer come out every night across the road. This night they were particularly close. It was quite dark so quite "noisy"
Came across these pigeons today - fighting over what they thought was food. Looked like a piece of fluff.
