Not sure how this started- a errant seed, perhaps, plopped onto an accumulation of dust and debris and maybe pigeon poop in conjunction with a fortunate water supply... There's no indication how tall is the tree but it extends a good ten feet above the silo and an equal amount of tangled root flaps out the side. Interesting...

I would almost bet the silo is partially full of something that supports growth.

Not only is your tree silo interesting, but I hope people focus on the entire photo. The surrounding field with its textures make an outstanding photo.

I love your photograph especially in black and white. Well done.
On double download I notice some short streaks in the upper part of the tree. Is that something from post processing?
