A new Maine-themed HO Scale model railroad is coming to the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport in the Spring of 2023.
The display (currently 40 x 50 feet) was built over the past quarter-century by Harold and Helen Beal, and will be deconstructed and moved from Jonesport to a new building purpose-built to house the railroad and comply with the current building code for a publicly accessible venue.
The project will cost about USD 2.6 million, and is being underwritten by the Hansjörg Wyss Foundation of Washington, DC. The Foundation's founder happened upon the exhibit while visiting Maine, and befriended the Beals.

From the couple pictures posted it looks like a very nice setup.

I would note that the two images demonstrate a differing approach to model photography. The lighthouse photo uses a shallow depth of field to accentuate the sense of distance, looking at a what is of course an artificially compressed vista. The greater depth of field in the harbor photo accentuates the craftsman-like detail which characterizes the scene.
Kennebunkport is just a little over half an hour from where I live. I have yet to visit that museum but it just moved higher up my bucket list.

I visited years ago, and had a memorable train ride on an old trolley. But am now definitely planning a return visit.
