Yes they were my adopted kids. A lot of the ducks were seasonal like the cormorants. I think the geese were there all year. I kept a large bag of cat food in the boat and fed them all good healthy food especially in the winter. There were two geese, a mated pair I guess, they would eat from my hand. I had at times a large crowd of ducks, some coots, they were happy because us boat people took care of them. I may post some more of these but I mostly have videos of the feedings. They really made a nice presence at the marina.

Well Jeff, it was 2009 and cold, I did not ever think I would be posting this shot online so at the time I did not even think about focus, composing etc. I had a cheap point'n camera and just saw something worth capturing.
I just liked the moment and wanted to quickly capture it. If I had chose to work on a perfect image the image moment I took would be gone.
I do not even remember what camera I used !
I was on the boat and that was al that mattered.
They got fed good. Another good day on the lake.
