Nicely done. It's certainly worth the effort to get there. And getting a shot without people is awesome!
Fred, that's a really nice photo of Delicate Arch. I've been there a couple of times. The last time I was there it was around sunset and there was a group of Japanese tourists standing inside the arch for a long time during the best light. There were people yelling and swearing at them in about 10 languages from the ridge.
Indelible Image !!! Thank you for sharing. Shang

This is Delicate Arch and most of you have seen photos of it as it probably the most recognized natural arch in the world. In the background are the La Sal mountains and I even managed to have a half moon in the sky. Timing is everything.
This iconic location is not easy to get to. First of all do NOT try it in the Summer, (Temperatures over 100 degrees) I did this in October. There is about an 800 foot change in altitude from the parking lot to the arch. You are in the sun all the way to the top and you are walking over what the locals call "slick rock". Bring a good hat and lots of water.
I think the photo was worth all the effort

Great shot, great lighting, a different perspective than so many pics of this icon. We visited it in the spring at dusk, and had to make our way back down in the dark, using headlamps.

Very nice and I doubt i'll ever get to shoot it.
Worth the effort for sure. Beauty of a photo.
This was made mid afternoon. You do not want to get back to your car after sunset.
