Just my take, of course. I also appreciate that you saw this moment and chose to capture it.
Checking closely there is/was a halo at the end of the bird's tail. I like that it gives some dimension to the tail. In my lightened version there is some detail in the shadow area. We may not completely agree but I do thank you for your comment.
