When I was designing web sites the banner was an important aspect of the image so I try to create something that is appealing to potential clients.

I agree with you. Some of the others including the OP’s have the ducks looking too close to out of frame.

Here's my take. The two which are now in front seem to be talking to each other, so I wanted to include both of them. I included the third in the rear for ambience. I cut out the one lower left, even though he's in sharp focus, because he seems to have no interest in the interaction of the rest. The same is true of the one upper left.

In order to get enough space to the left of the quackers, I did have to include a touch of the tail from lower left, but then spotted it out.
