Well you obviously like living dangerously. I would be very uneasy driving in a huge train over that bridge. Looks like a recipe for a great train wreck movie.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

I made a comment about the railway line in the pix. Howver, being from Hastings in East Sussex. I used to go back packing around Snowden and was always in awe of the railways that went up the mountains there.

My ex boss moved to Henderson and loves it there since it is so close to LV.
Never been to nevada but must be an awesome place for photo ops.

Thank you one and all for your comments. I look forward to hearing what others perceive in what I shoot. In the second shot I was going for the effect that the train tressel was coming out of the overlook. Did I achieve it?

It's just the way I remember it, it's been 15 years since I've been there. There was so much to see. I always wondered why they didn't maintain the railroad " to the clouds".

I was also impressed with the signs, plaques and walking paths, but it was still sad. They used the railroad to deliver medical supplies and to return with logging and when the roadway was able it all changed. When we lived there it was always awesome to go down the mountain to Alamogordo and see the vast valley over the White Sands, there was no two times that were the same. Although I have many photo opertunities here next to Las vegas, the beauty of that sight does not compare.
