That's got everything in it for me in a Steam shot. Nice curve, good scenery, grat detail in the exhaust..........
I might have jumped off at that point had I known the possibilities some years back.
That’s a great shot, Fred!
This is a great photo. Thanks for sharing.
Great shot of a great train.
Nice picture. I really like it.

Theis the Durango & Silverton train approaching Colorado highway 55 underpass. the train is climbing up hill and working very hard, and so is the fireman, hence the black smoke. Under normal conditions, that is the boiler is hot, there should be very little smoke and the exhaust would be white (steam).
Nice photo! My wife and I are heading back to Durango in September for a couple of weeks. Looks like a great spot to capture the trains as they climb the mountain. Thanks for sharing.

Not just a great photograph, but must've been a great moment seeing this with your own eyes as it happened. Nicely done to keep your composure and frame is up nicely.
Wonderful photo from a great location on a beautiful fall day!
When were you there? We rode the train (not the same one you photographed) up and back to Silverton on October 5th of last year. The foliage along the way looked very much like your photograph. Although I didn't get any photos, out of 806, that look as good as yours.
I hope you have your photo hanging on a wall, if not you should.
Cheers,
Steve
