According to the Newsweek article, she gave a couple of likes to comments people posted on obscure Internet articles. The article that Tex posted said specifically that Greene supported the executions of Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. It also said that she threatened to kill gun violence survivors.

On top of this they kept claiming in different ways that Greene said that many of these school shootings were faked events that never happened. The fact that she gave a like to some guy's comment who happened to mention a false flag operation" as evidence would be laughed out of court. If you wanted to get that picayune, I could probably find any politician in the world who acknowledged other people's comments or statements, and find something objectionable in one of the comments or statements. I'm sure I could do that with your likes on dozens of the comments right here on Ricochet. It is meaningless.

The Newsweek fact check did not back up any of the assertions I claimed were false.

I am defending her against specific lies. I already stipulated that Marjorie Taylor Greene is a nut case. But my whole point is that the press is never satisfied with actual eccentricities or malfeasance, they often just start making stuff up to pile-on. It isn't just with Greene. Ya know, in the U.S. we had to endure two full years of non-stop press coverage of how Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the election. It all turned out to be fake. There wasn't even a morsel of some incident with a grain of truth that started the whole thing. There was nothing!

The press could have easily dwelt on the numerous flaws in Trump's character and his outrageous behavior, or mocked the numerous dumb statements he made. And they would have been completely truthful. But no! They had to start making things up out of thin air! They had to make up that he is a racist by inventing that he praised White Supremacists by saying they were good people. I don't know about Canada, but the Press here is mostly a joke.

You guys on the left love to quote articles that make huge slanderous assertions against Republicans without ever providing any evidence. I will even stipulate that Marjorie Taylor Greene is kind of a nut case who believes in lots of conspiracy theories that don't exist. But the article you linked said she claims that the Parkland shooting was a staged event, claims that she threatened to kill gun violence survivors, and supported the executions of Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton. What a load of hogwash!

Note that the article fails to include a single quote from Greene to back up any of these assertions. And I don't even know what she has said! I just go on the predictable assumption that if the article doesn't quote it, then it is not what they said it was. The only quote they provide from her is this innocuous line which seems totally irrelevant to the story:

“I’m a gun owner, I’m an American citizen and I have nothing. But this guy with his George Soros funding and his major liberal funding has got everything. I want you to think about that,” Greene told her viewers.

Meanwhile, they have plenty of quotes from her detractors, including teenage kids, who convey these ridiculous charges. This is not journalism. Leftists are never satisfied with real flaws in a defective Republican like Greene. They have to make stuff up out of thin air to get their point across because reality is never good enough for them.
