I have forgotten so many things I use to do in Adobe Elements because of Covid. So I've been going back to some of my older pictures to see what I can do with them. I would like a refresher course to help. Does anyone know about a zoom course that anyone is giving? I guess the best we can do under the circumstances is"zoom". Any suggestions? Zucco

Adobe has increased their efforts at offering learning across the board in all their applications, including Photoshop Elements. In current and recent versions the the help menu has a link to a training page that is loaded with instructions choices.

Press the F1 key and go to a page with a User Guide section and a Tutorials section.

I will certainly refer the suggestions you have laid out for me.
A review is always worthwhile! My last Elements is 15. Should
I jump to jump to Adobe 22? Adobe has discontinued Elements
unless you buy the latest. What say you?

Software that I use regularly, my go-to software, I keep that up-to-date. Unlike some in this group, it's why I prefer Adobe's subscription model. I'm a Lightroom user and I appreciate always having the current version ... for the price of a coffee and muffin a month.

Elements 15 still runs fine on my Win 10 computer. All the tutorials are there also.

Don't jump to 2022 unless you have good reasons to do so.

Adobe has not "discontinued" any software purchased on a perpetual license. It will continue to run until your system outgrows what will become, one day, obsolete code. A version from 2015 may not run on 2025 version of Windows

For the Elements programs, Adobe has always had an annual new version. During that version's year of currency there will be a couple updates for ACR tables and, maybe, newly discovered bugs.

Yes, if you buy a new camera and need new ACR tables, you will need to buy a current Elements version to support that camera.

My choice is to give Adobe $10 every month like I used to give Kodak for film. Actually, Kodak usually got more than that! The Photography plan is always providing me with new, great stuff to learn.

Advice I often give to Elements users is to upgrade every other year. The current version PSE 2022 offers several features that are not present in PSE 15.

To get a feel for this, you may want to check out the link below, which covers the annual evolution from PSE 11 through PSE 2022. You will have to do some zooming/scrolling to read the table.

Will Adobe Camera RAW run on PS Elements 11? Just downloaded/installed it & cannot find it on my computer. Should it show up in PSE?

Starting with Adobe Elements 8, 10 and now 15, I am familiar with most of the Adobe Tools in Elements. It it has served my needs very, very well. And I don't need to buy Elements each and every year, either. But, I am interested in versions of Elements below 21 or 22, too. And paying monthly fees for Adobe's full program does not suit my present needs. I'm interested in using Adobe to add some sky effects and black & color enhancement techniques etc. also. But, which Adobe Elements is best for me and where can I get it? PS - I appreciate all your response so far. Keep 'em coming, if possible.

Photoshop Elements has its own version of ACR built in. https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/camera-raw-differences-photoshop-photoshop.html

The only way you can get 'old' versions of Photoshop Elements is where you can find them on a disk that was once in a retail system. Beware of pirated, counterfeit software. Adobe themselves only sells the current version, which is "Photoshop Elements 2022". It will do well for "some sky effects and black & color enhancement techniques etc."

It normally is $100. It goes on sale briefly a couple times a year. There is ONE DAY left on the holiday sale at $70. You buy it here: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html This is not a subscription and Adobe provides a 30 day full refund if you don't like it or it doesn't work for you or your computer.

I've been using PSE since sometime around 2007 and only upgrade every four to five years. I compare the new actions available in the new year vs the year I currently am using and upgrade only if there are new features that I want to have and will use. I do not post process every single photo I take, so do not need all the new bells and whistles added each year. My current version is 2019 but still have 2014 and 2015 on the same computers. I also cannot see any necessity to have the full version of PhotoShop and pay $120 a year for an app I will not use fully and which has more features than I need.
