How well do these following lens work with the Canon R6 (particularly with tracking eye feature on animals like elk, moose and birds)?

1) SIGMA 150-600mm 5-6.3 Sport. (Yes, I know this is a large lens, but I would be using a tripod with gimbal)
2). CANON Zoom EF 70-200mm 2.8 L Ultrasonic with Canon Extender EF 1.4x II
3). CANON Zoom 28-70mm 2.8L Ultrasonic
4). CANON Zoom EF 70-300mm 4-5.6 IS USM

My plan would include some R lenses in the future.

I have a R5 and found all my Canon lenses work fine. Have some Tamron lenses some work, some won't work and some have to go back to Tamron to make them work.

Thanks for your response Picture Taker! I'll check out the Sigma a bit online.

I called Tamron Tech and they explained the situation with each lens I had.

Canon EF lenses should all work with the appropriate adapter. Other brands - probably, but not a sure thing.

Thanks PHRubin! I found a YouTube video that said the Sigma Telephoto Sport performed well with the adapter and RF camera!

I have the Sigma 60 - 600 that I use almost every day on my Canon R5 for bird and landscape and it is amazingly sharp with the Canon basic adapter. Heavy as h... but at 81 I don't use any pod or gimble.

Thanks Bug! I also do some handheld, but with elk and moose for hours of work I like the tripod until I have to move it!

Same here, if camera won't operate at all, try setting to "operate without lens attached". Then for me Tamron worked in manual focus mode which for my use was fine.

Yes the Tamron lenses that "don't work" is the ones that don't automatically focus but work fine if you manually focus.

Tamron told me the older 150-600 will need a fix at Tamron. Don't know if they will charge.

I have only purchased 1 RF lens. I use all of my EF lens. I have the second level Canon adapter and most of my lenses both Canon and Tamron work better on my EOS-R than on my 5D lll and 77D

I have several Tamron G2 lenses. A couple of them I had to put on the console and adjust because they were not adjusted properly, usually in the foreground there were front focal issues in my Tamron 100-400 and my 70-200. Once I adjusted them they work fine.
