My thinking is that many competitive events (not all considered sports to me) are shown because of all the on-line betting. These events never saw daylight on TV before.

I've given up on the Olympics. It's just a big business playing the game of which lab can come up with an undetectable way to cheat, with the authorities trying to detect their cheating. Look how they handled the girls' gymnastics scandal - I mean how they didn't handle it.

I've watched the professional darts, its wild, cornhole, amazing what they can do, bowling also, actually know a couple of the older ones personally. Grew up bolwing in youth leagues with Dave Ferraro in upstate NY, and after moving to Charlotte NC, I used to league bowl with George Pappas, both of whom are in the Bowling Hall of Fame.

What is amazing is that there is nobody around that knows what cornhole used to mean before it became a game .
