As an aside: My wife and I attended a small family X-Mas Eve gathering. Everyone attending did a home test in the late morning. Everyone was negative and everyone was fully vaccinated including a booster shot. Two days later - my daughter tested positive. She is finally feeling better. My wife has been suffering with a cough. I had minor cough and tiredness for several days, but have felt fine for three days, My daughter's husband tested positive and has had a fever. I tried getting an Urgent Care appointment for my wife - "no way they said - you can come and wait but you'll have to do it in your car, could be many hours or all day". We've been using some home remedies. I have more home tests arriving today. This Omicron is pervasive and cares little about vaccinations, other than preventing hospitalization. It's a mess here in my area. I'm not looking for suggestions or advice. We are really fine now.

Not having to be hospitalized and only feeling crappy is good enuf. Covid vaccines don't prevent getting sick any more than flu shots prevent you from getting the flu. What that do is keep you out of the hospital and dying. Thats kinda the whole point.
