Next week our club is having a "themed shoot". None of the photos are going to be judged; but you have to stick to a theme. In this case: " Water, three states" is the theme. solid and liquid were no problem; but water vapor? I really did not want to mess around with steam, so I cheated and created my own water vapor in camera. Here are my entries. Of course, all comments are welcome. I'm sure no.2 is going to make you want to throw sharp digital objects at me. lol

Really like the second one

Of the three, I think I like the second one as well. The first is probably going to be changed out before next week. I was struggling with "liquid water" since that is such a common subject in landscape photography. It is a challenge to be original with that theme. The third shot was done in a spare room at night. It was a lot of fun to put together. I used an LED flashlight from the side to give the ice cubes a blue tint. Thanks for taking a look.

Interesting. The third one is my winner.
I had to look at the third one to realize the ice was in a glass. The third one is my favorite out of the three.
I like them Erich. 👍You might try to open the image enough to see a little more rim light on the third one, helping one understand the shot without guessing so much.

For sure it fits the theme of New Years which is coming up. Thanks for taking a look.

It is a big martini glass that I really only ever use as a photo prop. (that much martini would probably kill me. lol). It was fun putting it all together. THanks for looking.

I had a week off; and I decided that I was going to do some shooting. I've been shooting film and digital. I also just got my Rolleiflex back from getting some professional attention. I'll be posting some of those shots soon. Basically, anytime I get anything that I want some feedback on , I post it on FYC. The people here are so supportive and always give good advice. Sometimes it is an opinion you don't want to hear; but everyone is respectful and very helpful. We've got a good group of folks here and that makes it fun to keep active.

I'm enjoying all three, very different and creative. Good luck at your "themed shoot". Bev
