The z9 is brand new and barely available. You will get few if any responses based on experience.
What makes you think it will need different triggers than other nikons?

I don't have a Z9 but it should compatible with the Nikon WR-R11a. Connect it to the 10-pin connection on the Z9.

If you have a Facebook account, there is a Z9 group , which I also belong to and a question like that can also be answered by a fair number of Z9 professional photographers. I’m anxious to get mine on Wednesday.

I've been using Yongnuo triggers for years - very reliable and not $$$$$$. They can trigger over a 300 ft distance (length of a football field) without a misfire.

The have a variety from plain "dumb" transceiver/triggers (RF-603II N3 - $38) for manual flash use, or integrated ones (YN-622N II control/receiver - $85) that work with Nikon's CLS system. They all connect to the hot shoe, so it eliminates any custom cabling. You can get them on Amazon or B&H.

The alternative, as CO suggested, is the WR-R11A which is shown in the online Z9 manual as the radio controlled choice for remote flash
