I got the covid and the flu vaccines and then today I tested positive for both. No it is; more drugs to fight the symptoms.

I am not use to not being able to go to the gym and lift, see my children and grandchildren, go to church and go on a date with my wife shopping at Menards. It is wonderful the projects she comes up with as we walk to get our 10,000 steps in.

I am taking 2 naps a day and I never nap if healthy

Maybe tomorrow we will walk the yard; the perimeter will get us 1/2 mile

Doesn't prevent one from getting it, supposed to reduce the severity because your body doesn't have to figure out how to fight it from scratch. The vaccines provide a head start in fighting it.

I currently have Covid. I am fully vaxed including a booster and take precautions. Fortunately I am not sick. I had to get tested for a trip to Iceland with my Niece, which came back positive. Obviously, no Iceland for me. My niece had a good trip. If I wasn't vaxed, I might not ne so lucky.

I go out for walks. I just stay away from other people. I went for another test, today, and I'm still positive. At any rate, take care of yourself.

Vaccinations do not prevent you from getting and spreading ......only masking and staying away from other people will slow the spread and the mutations .....

So, while vaccinations have eased the severity and deaths - they have falsely given an overall sense of security - so, the SPREAD goes on ....with close socialization and traveling.

You are 100% correct, but vaccinations are proven in most cases, obviously not all, to prevent serious illness. The type of illness that will put you in the hospital or possibly even kill you. Of course then there are the prospects of getting long Covid and other side effects, which these vaccines may help to prevent.

Last point: I think that it is safe to say that Covid is not likely to ever go away which means we need to learn how to live with it. For now, vaccinations are the best tool out there. On the plus side, staying away from others and wearing masks would reduce all communicable diseases.

Yes the spread goes on, but with greater frequency and severity among the unvaccinated.

If you tested positive, it sounds like the vaccines are doing their job. If it gets to the point that you can't breathe, then you have reason to complain.

Before the vaccine 30-50% of people that tested positive for Covid had NO SYMPTOMS. Large numbers had minor symptoms.
Tom Hanks and his wife for example had it early on, were tired for a couple of days. My niece had it, she had a headache and lost taste for a couple of days. Thousands, probably many millions had similar or less symptoms before the vaccine, and no reason this should change after the vaccine. Very difficult to ascertain if the vaccine does much of anything considering the natural progression of flu viruses.

Masks, as everyone knows by now, do about nothing at all and are no more than an ugly joke.

Vaccines stopped polio and small pox and a bunch of other diseases in there tracks. THAT is the job of vaccines. This experimental vaccine seems to have little effect other than propagate more fantasies and hand wringing not to mention out right lies to promote this "pandemic". Flu virus generally mutate and get weaker as they go along. This is nothing new, always been this way.

Get smart, get serious. A good mask, worn and handled properly, will reduce the risk of getting infected and of passing infections to others. Fact.

That is not what the actual nurses we know and our own experience in hospitals tell us. The nurses from two different hospitals tell us that their Covid cases are virtually all among those who were fully shot ( I don't consider it to be a vaccine) and our own experience in different hospitals doesn't match the stories of overwhelmed hospitals.

Glad you are doing ok, that’s the purpose of the vaccine I was at a family function on Xmas eve and several were not vaccinated but also were talking about how in five years we will all be sorry we got vaccinated and that why should I get vaccinated because people are still getting COVID, and I don’t know what’s in it, and it’s to new, and the excuses go on and on if these same people would take the time to search out the truth about the vaccine they would see it is not new as with the flu and pneumonia vaccine they are constantly being modified to fight the latest strain, if our parents didn’t get us vaccinated as small children I truly believe most of us may not be here today I finally had to walk away from the table as I would have opened my big mouth and told them all to take a finger and stick were the sun doesn’t shine and choke themselves. Get well and stay safe and have a better New Year.

Key is good mask, not some homage pretty little thing. However because most people never use them properly life goes on.
