Sky Replacement in Photoshop Elements

Photoshop Elements 20212 (PSE) has a very nice sky-replacement function. However, the user is limited to PSE's 10 sky choices only, which often do not meet my need. Does anyone in UHH-land know a way to import one of my own images from my Sky folder?

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a safe, healthy, and happy 2022.

I spent some time trying to find an answer for you this morning and failed. I tried again this afternoon using Adobe's Photoshop Elements forum. It appears there is an answer!

The automated functions do stuff you can do manually. Learn how to do it manually using Layers and Layer Masks and you’ll be off and running.

I am still using PSE 10 as it does everything I wish to do in photo editing and have successfully done sky replacements using my own sky captures. I isolate the subject matter using the Magic Extractor tool and then working in layers overlay my subject on a background layer consisting of a sky image of my liking. I am including a before and after example of this process.

Or you can get Anthropics Landscape Pro and have hundreds of replacement skies. And it works directly from Elements.

I currently use PSE 2019 and have replaced a few backgrounds, using green screen and my own photos, quite successfully using masks and layers. I followed the instructions in the book "The Photoshop Elements 15 Book for Digital Photographers" by Scott Kelby. In spite of it being now seven years old, the process is the same and works well. While I have not created masterpieces, with more practice, I'm sure I could get much better results.

I am sure there are several YouTube or other tutorials available that would show you the way also.

Edit: I would suggest doing the procedure in the expert mode, not the quick or guided mode.
