I wish the list contained at least some reference to expanding your photographic horizons by stepping out of your comfort zone and photographing subjects/content that you normally don't. Or treating your subjects/content differently. Or learning to appreciate different types of images....

Sometimes, it seems page 1 of page 9 is so far in the past it's hard to remember the original post ...

Are you learning to better use your current equipment?
Are you using your external (speedlite) flash?
Did you return to a prior subject with a new lens or technical approach to specifically improve on a prior attempt?
Did you change to mirrorless?

Merry Christmas everyone, even those at the mercy of the travel gods this weekend! Thank you to everyone for the kind comments and personal stories and personal progress assessments. Have a wonderful holiday week and a great start to a great new 2022 year.

Travel has been curtailed for me.

I have been checking off some of your recommendations.

I am having a difficult time with flash photography, I am working on it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Despite obnoxious negative responses, these goals and questions are relevant, comprehensive, and thought provoking.
Lots of wise considerations in that list. You Don't have to do every one. But somewhere in that list is a reminder to every photographer, old and new, that equates to "never stop improving your craft.". There's sooo much more to learn and apply.

My new years resolution--don't follow the advice of the UHH gurus. Be happy with what I have.
