I'm missing that gene also.

There are many mysteries in the universe that are beyond our ability to understand and folding a fitted sheet is among them. Perhaps if Einstein were alive today....well, I doubt that he could not figure it out either.

My daughter videoed me trying to do it and put it on line. One of the mysteries of the universe.

I don’t even try. We do what Dirtfarmer does. Works every time.

Is there a point to folding a fitted sheet? If you fold one perfectly, how are you better off?

I don't understand the point of neatly folding a fitted sheet. When put on a mattress, the wrinkles are stretched right out of the sheet and, presumably, it is then covered with a top sheet, blanket and duvet. Why waste your time folding it? just roll it up and throw it in the closet! I've tried to convince my wife to do that, but so far she has resisted - with a few unkind words.

Fold in half lengthwise, tuck fitted ends into the matching fitted end. You now have a flat rectangular surface and you can then easily fold it together.
🤞

That’s easy for you to say😂

I tried and decided it's not worth the effort.

My wife lays the fitted sheet on the bed, quickly tucks the top corners into the bottom corners, and then folds it up nice and neat.

1. Fold it in half
2. Do it again
3. One more time
4. Once more if it’s a really big sheet
5. Put it on the bottom of the folded
linens pile.

Fortunately, I have this skill which I lord over my wife. It came in handy a few nights ago when I was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint and was given a fitted sheet to fold...I passed.
