This small pond is located between Ouray and Silverton, Colorado, along the "Million Dollar Highway".

The mountains in the background are called Red Mountain #1, Red Mountain #2 and Red Mountain #3. Lots of imagination in the naming. A lot of Silver and Gold were mined in this area hence the name of the Million Dollar Highway.

One again I was lucky for the color in the trees, beautiful cloud formations and no wind for the reflection.

Enjoy

Did you adjust the colors electronically? or is this the original?

Your input is welcome.

You think that my image is over processed. When was the last time you calibrated your monitor? If not in the last 30 days, your comments are NOT valid. Even a brand new monitor needs to be calibrated although the manufacture does a very good job. As far as I am concerned you could be evaluating my photos on a monochrome screen.

If you do not calibrate your monitor, you do not have a valid, objective view of my work! I would be very happy to help you in the calibration process!

It's a great image that captures the eye. Many have commented that it looks too saturated but that's what sells the image. The more you back off from the "saturation" the less appealing the image appears. Don't know what caused the saturated look; might be images taken at that altitude with thinner air and more UV, polarization might lead to it or whether it's a function of calibrated monitors makes no difference. Less saturation, less appeal.
