Prime video now charges for shows when one time before they were not extra costs.

My wife wanted to watch again the Friends show. Now prime video charges.

I noticed this with many other shows.

I do pay my monthly fee.

This is not surprising considering everything else that we pay for. For instance, we pay big money for cable but now you have to also purchase from channels to get the special content.....Disney plus, CBS, Brit Box. To get the best and most updated we pay for subscriptions to Light Room and Photoshop.

Somewhere down the line we will probably have to pay for the websites we visit. As long as people are willing to pay they will keep finding things to charge for.

So you've paid thousands of dollars to purchase this vehicle and they are going to charge you to use items you supposedly own??? What's next....charging for using the turn signals? Windshield wipers? Sitting on the seat?

Insane!!!!!

If people don't use it, then they don't have to pay and maybe these companies would get the idea that we aren't going to put up with this.

Found it on Hulu no additional fees.

You might want to put YouTube on your list of places to check for shows. I am currently watching Lou Grant. The quality isn't great (they were uploaded 9 years ago) but it's good enough to enjoy that great show. I've watched other shows on YouTube where the quality was great.

Your wife should have done what My son did, get the boxed editions of all ten seasons of Friends on DVD. He has watched them so many times he can sit and recite lines before the characters speak them.

Some car maker may even up the ante to make the entire car experience a monthly subscription just like Adobe and the like. Remember cable (read pay) TV? The service was supposed to get rid of commercial ads but you saw how long that lasted.
