I don't know Camera Language

Greetings guys, i am interested in purchasing a Night Vision camcorder, for $200 or less, yes I have seen the $$$$ ones, bet they are great, but way beyond my budget. I would even be interested in purchasing a used one, but I don't know where to look, nor whom to trust.
I have found some, but they say the IR is not strong, for $169.
I am not picky about whether the vision is green or black and white, I would like it to have at least a good distance (10+) and the camcorder to last a few hours ( have multiple scan disks).
I have a few great digital cameras that I am very please with, so that area is covered.
Is there anyone out there that can help me?
Hoping to hear from you.

As you have discovered, IR and other night vision technology is high dollar. I'm don't think I would buy low cost night vision equipment for photography, unless I would be satisfied with low-resolution images...Not! Just my opinion.

I don't know how well it works, but if you had a 35mm film camera, you could use an IR lens and IR film with it. I suspect the lens would be pricey, though.

This is coming for DLSR's...just be patient. Have to wait for the patent to get approved for low cost real time ir. Maybe in 6 months.

Wow, you really know the language!!
I am impressed. Should you find your old one, I would be willing to buy it from you. I just need to get started and as time goes by and I get more investigations, I can afford to get out of the hobby price range and into some more serious equipment.
Thank you for taking the time to reply, on a day like I have had today, it was greatly appreciated.
