Great set of images. You mentioned a lot of dust, would a can of compressed air help with cleaning camera equipment?

Much of our tour in Kenya was in and around the Masai Mara Reserve. Dirt trails. Some days were just fine. Other days, periods of lots of dust kicked up by our vehicle. Needed some kind of covering over mouth and nose and camera gear in a tight covering (small garbage bag worked). Once driver spotted game and stopped, dust settled and we could get good pictures. Not a complaint - just my experience.

If my next trip is cancelled (2 have been already) I might seriously consider a safari - on my bucket list. Already lost Spain and Ireland due to COVID. Almost starting to worry about this coming June - I'm kind of looking forward to spending my birthday in Paris! My mom's a retired travel agent who's been to 6 of the 7 continents (over 80 countries). Her and my dad's favorite part of a trip was a night cruise down the Amazon...shut off the motor and lights and just listened to all the forest wildlife.

What type of camera and lens did you use. Great pictures.

I consider myself the most amateur of amateur photographers. Many topics on this forum make my head spin. Having said that, the gear I used on this trip and still use:

Nikon D90

AF S NIKKOR 18-200 mm lens for most of these pictures

AF S NIKKOR 70-300 mm lens for some longer range opportunities

I have recently purchased an Apple iPhone 12 pro and have been very surprised at its capabilities.
