I love classic cars! Thanks for sharing these. One thing I noticed that I thought mildly humorous, is that all of these cars have modern tires on them. That's to be expected, of course, but tread design and tire construction has come a long way, same with the automobile itself.
Fred: Except maybe for the Lincoln, these are the everyman's cars. As for the coming a long way---yes, in many ways and many ways undesirable. Who can fix a new car? Some of these cars cost less than $500.--new. Even with probably 15 times inflation, that was cheap compared to modern $30-40 grand amorphic "sardine cans." As for longevity---in my childhood, 20 year old cars were out and about. An old man in the next block died and his personal prop. auctioned off. He had a 1928 Studibaker which he drove every day. It sold for $27. I wanted to buy it at 16---but when I ran home to get permission--my Dad merely said--"ARE YOU NUTS?"----ew
