How she moves like this I don't know. Looks like it would damage her lower lumbar in her spine. Some of the movements towards the end of the video are unbelievable. One of the moves makes her look like a spooky spider! Oh yeah, don't try these at home.

Yeah, I can't do that anymore. (Perhaps she was born without a spine...?)
I look like that every morning and it takes me until noon to untangle. It ain't on purpose, though.
Flexibility is overrated. Like everything else, you need a certain amount, but too much is literally too much. She will probably not be in good condition when she is old.

I thought the same thing. I can imagine all the problems she will have with her lower lumbar.
Spinal surgery, here I come 😬😬
I reckon she is an astounding artist.

The "art" of contortion is more common in Asia I think than in the West. They start as young children, and apparently if they stop for any length of time the ligaments start to stiffen up. Many contortionists I have seen move from pose to pose and are amazing to watch, but the young woman in this video is more graceful than most and makes it more of a dance. She is beautiful to watch. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Like most every thing else in life... It depends on the persons body, as to whether it is good or harmful. I am quite flexible (just not near as flexible as she is!), I am 69. How old is 'old'? Beautiful and graceful she is!

Her strength and balance are equally impressive. Strength, balance and flexibility (although obviously not to that extent) are important to those (myself included) getting a little long in the tooth to maintain mobility and independence.

I have to go to the chiropractor from just watching that!
I had back surgery (lumbar) in March 2020 and I never even thought about being that flexible.
I don't think I will ever see my feet coming over my head, at least while I'm still in one piece.

When I broke my arm, I had stiffness in my hand and wrist from being in the cast so long. My hand therapist was giving me exercises and treatment to get mobility back. When I was stretching my thumb back against my forearm, she said it was a sign of hyperflexibility. I thought everyone could do it. She also said that it can lead to severe arthritis later in life. When I questioned about contortionists flexibility, she said many end up with arthritis so bad that they have greatly impaired mobility.
