After beaucoup hours of labor!!!
That reminds me of a man that I knew that sold cars in the '50s through the '70s. He once told me of a customer who had purchased a new car and kept bringing it back for a rattling noise. After many trips they found a liquor bottle in one of the door panels. Apparently someone on the assembly line was drinking on the job and needed to get rid of the evidence.

LOL
I had a neighbor that had a brand new Two door Dodge with a rattle in the back seat area, after a half dozen trips back to the dealer he ask me if I would see if I could find it, went for a 3 block ride in the back seat pulled in his drive , removed the back seat and the left side panel and found a 1/2pt whiskey bottle still about half full.
The thing was it was not a constant rattle or thump, but it wasn't hard to find.

Once upon a time, I worked with a low life who told me that while working at a auto assembly plant, he put some nuts in a frame that got welded over...
Reminds me of my WRX - That car does have its mystery rattles -- That come & go & come back again
Long ago I read of one where after a couple of months of trying the car company swapped for another car and sent the one with the rattle to the factory where it was assembled where they started to do a tear down like in the cartoon. They found a coke bottle inside the springs of the driver's seat with a nickel in it and a small printed note that said something like "Bet it took you a while to find this." The guys who assembled and installed seats got a lot more personnel attention from supervisors for some time.

I don't think I have ever seen a coke bottle that a nickel would fit into.

Urban legend... the original was a Coke bottle in the door.
In the 70s a GM car made it off off the production line with one disc brake (up front) and three drums.
Reminds me of the early days when I worked in a dealership. We used to find lots of stuff in door panels of new vehicles. Everything was found from tools to part of some guy's lunch. The tools were welcome finds.

The man that told me that said it was one of his customers. He may have made it up but he's been dead for about 15 years so I can't ask him. I know that is how these legends get around though so you may be right.
