Each year in San Juan Capistrano, CA they host a "Swallows day Parade" even though the Swallows don't cooperate and return on that specific day each year any longer. I love going to the parade and finding unique photo opportunities. These all look best in download mode.

Great photos Brent. I love the red cowgirl boots and also the flags on the mounted horsemen, the American flag and also the USMC flag. Well done.

Excellent shots - the camera always loves horses - But what do cowboys & cowgirls have to do with swallows??

Absolutely. My twin brother as well. Both of us started at Parris Island in January 1964. His son was also a Marine and my brother’s grandson as well.

We’re you as well ?

The whole town of San Juan Capistrano is a cowboy and cowgirl kind of town. Lots of horses.
The town has a mission there that is famous. I can't really tell you how the Swallows are linked to cowboys and cowgirls. Sorry.

Great shots. I think I like the cowgirl boots (2) best, followed closely by the dancers (5). Thanks for taking time to share.
